Thanks so much for the feedback. I'm looking forward to Michael's collapse myself, if only for the worry and angst we should get from Lincoln, especially knowing what we know about how he handled his mother's death. The poor guy.

It's hard to be the sick person, but I think in some ways, it's harder to be the loved one of the sick person.

Ok, so I'm really running late this morning, but I had to say that I loved this! I think Bellick's death hit Linc really hard (as evidenced in the show), but your idea about it relating to Michael is wonderful! It was very reminiscent of Michael's sacrifice back in S1. Even though it did not cost Michael his life, it did at the same time.

I also really liked how Sucre told Linc even though he promised he wouldn't. I think it is very much in character because his concern for Michael would outweigh his loyalty to a promise. Also, I loved Linc's conviction to make sure that Michael would be ok. I think he care's very deeply for him and really if he lost him I don't think he would be able to handle it (even with LJ).

Ok, now I'm really late. *g*

Sorry I made you late! :-)

I really liked Sucre coming and telling Lincoln. His loyalty to the brothers is true and deep, but I think him telling Lincoln would be the ultimate show of that loyalty. I'm sure we won't get that sort of thing on the show, so it was fun to write.

Yay!

Great portrayal of what I'll call the 'real' Lincoln, as opposed to the inconsistent one written these days in canon. I really love the way he's counting up all these deaths, because I've always believed he'd put them all on his shoulders, and the one he cannot stand to bear would be Michael's. (I kind of hope the DO tie him down to protect him! That made me smile.)

Can't you see Linc throwing a rope to Sara as he tackles and pins Michael to the floor? Ha. That would be fun crack!fic.

Like Amy said this felt like what I think the 'real' Linc should feel like.

Great fic Candy. I like how Bellick's sacrifice reminds Lincoln of his brother and I like his struggle between wanting to beat Michael up and wanting to hug him silly.

Love how you brought Sucre into the story and that he decided not to cover for Michael anymore. I can see those two and Sara going head-to-head with Michael to get him not to ignore his symptoms...

Get in. Get out. Save his brother.

Love it!

I've read in a few places where people thought Lincoln's reaction to Bellick's death was a little too much, but when I thought of all he's been through, and the fact that he had to watch Bellick do it, when he could have chosen something else, it was just too much. It's not that Linc cared all that much for Brad, but what Brad represents? That's too much to take.

I kept seeing the scene and someone different came out to talk to Linc...I thought of Sara coming out, and Mahone, but ultimately, it was Sucre, with a secret he needed to tell the big bro, that won out.

I think relatively quickly we're going to see Linc and Sara strong arm Michael, if for no other reason than Michael simply will be too sick to resist. *squees*

wow, how to the point, how Lincolnish (is that prison break slang?), wish those words were used in the series itself.
did you hear what Kirsten on E! said?

The only news I've heard from Kristen in E! is about Michael and Sara. She never has anything to say about Lincoln.

Glad you like this piece, though! Thanks for leaving a note!
