She said it wasnt a money issue, but she never mentioned why she didnt want to take it in.

It doesn't look like she says why, specifically. But she does mention being resistant to Dryel because of the strong scent. So a few of the commenters are thinking - and I can totally see the logic - she just doesn't like that chemical smell associated with most dry cleaning fluids.
