So the pain got so bad last night that I called one of those operator nurses. After about 30 minutes of holding, I gave her my symptoms and she asked me some questions. "Get your ass to the emergency room," she said.
So I haul it over to the Kaiser on Edgemont and Sunset (approx 10 miles from home) and I sit in the room and I wait and I wait. Finally the doctor see's me and he doesn't think it's any kind of infection. He made the nurse give me a shot of some anti-inflammatory on my ass. Then he prescribed some Valium and super strong Motrin. I slept like a baby last night.
The people at work must think I'm a baby. I called in sick today. I've been in and out of sleep. There's nothing like falling asleep to the soothing sound of All My Children and One Life to Live. I used to watch those shows religiously when I was in grade school on summer vacation.
I'm wearing a heat pack right now. One of those self adhesive ones. It's finally starting to heat up. Ahhhh...
