My interview went really well. They put me in a huge room with a huge table. There were three people and they made me sit across from them so I had to shout my answers. They seemed to like me because I guess I'm just quite likeable. But they seemed to ask the same question over and over again. And I kept giving them the same answers. I felt like Scott McClellan taking questions about Karl Rove.

If I got the job, my shift would start at 6am. But it's really near my house, near being about 9 miles. But again, it starts at 6am. Fuck. I asked them how long it takes to advance from that position once someone was hired; how long do I have to wake up at 5am? They told me it takes a year to get promoted.

fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck! I mean, they might as well ask me to make them an omlette with unicorn eggs. It's Friday and they haven't called yet. Maybe I didn't get it. I'm not sad. I'd take the job if I got it. But I'm hoping I don't get it. I just can't wake up that early. But then again, I kind of hope I do get it. I love unicorns.

Benner is recording our first EP. It is going to kick ass. We're putting four songs on it. I'm kind of shocked with how it's shaping up so far. Ryan gave me a copy of the songs, we haven't recorded vocals yet. So I've been listening to it in my car. Over and over and over. It's like I live in a vacuum or something. Eureka! I like hearing it when I drive because I get these ideas of where I want it to go. I mean, where I want the project to go.

Tanya and Todd are up here now and I showed them a couple of places on Wednesday night. First, we went to El Gran Burrito. Tanya is from Tijuana and she made a statement that there are no really good taco joints in Los Angeles. Well, there's places like King Taco, but c'mon. It don't compare to TJ. *** So anyway, Doris is from Tijuana also and El Gran Burrito is Doris approved so I thought Tanya and Todd might like it. And they did. So cool!

Then we went to the Good Luck Bar right next to the Vista. I love the Vista. I'd never been to the Good Luck bar before Wednesday and I wasn't too impressed. I mean it was nice and cozy and very Asian and very red. I had no idea that the Vista was literally next door to this bar. So I wasn't too impressed but I think on a different night it would have had a different vibe. It would have been nice to get a drink after Minority Report. Or Terminator 3. Or Harry Potter 2. Or American Splendor.

After Good Luck Bar, we went to the Shortstop which was one of my old favorite bars. I don't like it anymore at all. I mean, it's like going to the Little Cave* except you drive 10 miles to get there. And the bouncer kicked us off the patio with our drinks at 11pm. Fucking horrible. Not only can you not smoke in a bar, you can't bring your drink to an enclosed patio section, with open air, designated for smokers! The Little Cave does the same thing - kick people with drinks off the patio, it drives me nuts. Los Angeles can be so stupid sometimes.
