I IS BACK!!
After nearly an entire BLOODY WEEK offline, I have finally, FINALLY gotten my comp back in working order!
Although it seems I've missed not only my deadline for ass_ldws and my report for work, but the beginnings of hd_seasons smutty Halloween Nights and jae's monthly challenge aswell... >.<
This past week hasnot been kind. Very, very late last Wednesday I had to restart my comp for what I THOUGHT was simply a file scan...until after nearly an hour, it shut off and would...not...come on. Nothing I did - and I consider myself to be quite the techy, actually - would make it work. NOTHING!
Same were the results Thursday...and again Friday...whilst on vacation with my cousins and NOWHERE NEAR a place where I could get internet access elsewhere - in a cabin surrounded by miles of woodland the nearest town was a few hours driving.
Arrived home late Sunday night, and showed my darling comp to a friend from GeekSquad early the next morning...and he found nothing wrong with it. We spent a good 6-7 hours trying everything we could think of - there are files on there I cannot bare to lose *shivers*
Of all the years I've had my beloved comp - well over six years, seven this coming Decembre - I have only had two viruses, the last one occuring before Deathly Hallows hit bookstores - in other words, its been awhile. Really.
Sooo, in the meantime I am on my WORK comp, trying to finish reports and recover other projects. Will try to get back to everyone...it seems I have loads of catching up to do *is freaking out*
Also - THANKS SO FREAKING MUCH TO MY AIJIN!! I would not have survived the week-end without you! *Tacklehugs*
