Summary: Changmin feels that his hyungs are treating him too much like a kid and wants to prove to them how much he’s not.
A/N: Ahh..another fic that I wanted to write even though it's really...weird. ><;; It was good in my head, but...sigh I'm no good with words, but hope you'll enjoy the story!
Staring outside, anyone could tell, it was going to rain today. You didn’t need a weather forecaster to tell you that. Changmin leaned outside of the open window, smiling with eyes closed as he braced himself on his arms.
“Changmin-ah, get in before you fall out.” One of his hyungs called out from the living room, but judging from the deep voice, it was probably Yunho.
“Aiish, I’m not gonna fall.” The youngest replied with a small pout and whine to his voice. Feeling defiant, he continued to lean forward on tiptoes, ignoring the second command from his hyung.
“I’m not going to tell you again, get. in .the. HOUSE. .” Changmin could tell his hyung was serious when his tone changed from sweet to firm. But being the little brat he was, Changmin simply stuck out his tongue and shook his highlighted locks. “No I don’t want and yo-eep!” The youngest squeaked as he was suddenly pulled in, hitting his head on the wooden window.
“Oomph!” Changmin grunted as his back hit the hard chest behind him. Min turned around, his mouth ready to yell at Yunho for his injury, but halted when he saw Yoochun’s sleazy smirk. “Eh? Yoochun? I thought…” Min looked at him questioningly and then at the leader, who’s looking at him above the newspaper.
Yoochun gave a light chuckle, strong arms still around the baby’s waist. “Yunho told you to get in the house. I just wanted to touch you.” Yoochun stated with a smirk. Yunho eyes narrowed at how close Yoochun is to the baby. Min flushed and struggled against the hold on him. “Well, technically I was already in the house!” Min snarled, breaking free from his grasp. “And I like the rain! The raindrops are beautiful and can-,”
“-drop in your eyes and make you plummet to the earth from how you were leaning.” Yunho finishes, strolling over between Min and Yoochun to close the opened window. Min narrowed his eyes at Yunho from being interrupted and folded his arms tightly, ignoring the chuckles coming from Yoochun. “-soothe a person’s mind and-,” “drown and flood houses, causing pain and depression.” Jaejoong walks in, his face expressing concern, but Min could see through those glittering eyes. Soft hands laced around his own, holding him in place.
Min can literally feel his left eyebrow twitch subconsciously, his body quivering from the urge to castrate his hyungs. It doesn’t help his mood at all when Junsu decides to stop playing his game to add his two cents. “Yeah Minnie-ah, don’t you watch the news? The rain is really bad yah.”
“Yes Minnie,” Jaejoong tilts his head upward, his eyes showing more than just concern, fingers still wrapped around Min’s. Okay… “We just care for you.” Min tenses as he forgets Yoochun is still there and is quickly reminded when his strong arm settles around his slim waist. This is… “You’re just so precious to us!” Junsu squeaked, winding his arms around Changmin’s right arm, resting his head on the taller one’s shoulder. Someone’s been watching way too much Lord of the Rings. Just a little… Yunho doesn’t say anything, just opted to grazing against Min’s left arm with his fingernail in a soothing motion. As if taking turns, Yoochun’s hands decide to wander upwards and passed his anything is where Changmin draws the line.
“YAHH!!” Min shouted, flailing his arms to detach himself from the leeches. Changmin really does live up to his reputation…the hyungs thought as they stood a safe distance away from the youngest.
“What’s wrong Minnie-ah?” Yunho asks confused, as if them touching the boy is a normal routine and Min’s outburst was totally inappropriate. “What’s wrong?!” Jaejoong’s motherly instincts took over and attempts to reach out to calm his dongsaeng down, but immediately throws the idea out at seeing the infamous glare. “You touching me is what’s wrong! Doing this,” Min makes some freaky alien hand gestures. “-is wrong! What the hell is going on with you guys lately?!”
“Min,” the motherly instincts broke free from logical and Min’s vein nearly popped at the next thing that came out of Jaejoong’s. “You know it’s bad to curse right?” Junsu nodded vigorously from the side. “Mmhmm! That’s right. You sh- ulp,” “That’s it!” Min grabbed the closest victim and flung him carelessly across the room, feeling slightly satisfied at hearing the dull thud.
“I’m going to bed now.” The four quickly cleared the way as their youngest walked passed them, grabbing a few pies and bananas off the kitchen counter. They continued watching him cautiously and sighed in relief at hearing the door slam.
“I think we overdid it.” Yunho sighed, scratching the back of his head as he scanned the room.
“Oh you think?” Yoochun quirked an eyebrow and tilted his head toward the dying dolphin, who made another pathetic squeak/ moan.
“I think it’s time to revaluate what just happened.”
“What the hell is there to evaluate? Baby blew up…end of story.” The umma huffed, combing a hand through his blonde locks, still a little miffed at being brushed off. His baby should’ve come running to his arms instantly…or his room, either one was fine.
A mumble of incoherency from the ignored dolphin made the four tilt downward. Yoochun was the first to come up, leaning his arm against their eldest.
“So that settles it.”
“Huh? Settles what?” Jaejoong questioned, trying to shrug off the heavy weight on his shoulder
“You’re going to talk to Changmin.” His tone almost added a “duh” at the end.
“What?! And when the hell did you establish that fact?” The blonde shoved the greasy man away, making him trip over Junsu’s lifeless body.
“Hey! It’s only what he said!”
“And you’re seriously taking advice from HIM?!” Jaejoong jabbed a slender finger at Junsu’s stilled figure. “You should definitely know by now that-,” “Hey what’s wrong with my advice?!” Junsu finally snapped up from his fetal position at being insulted. Why is he so angry? It’s not like he was thrown across the room like some ragged doll.
“There’s plenty wrong about your advices you-!” “Okay that’s enough.” Yunho interrupted the furious umma, before he started spewing rainbow from his mouth.
“We’re all going to talk to him.” Hearing their leader’s firm voice, they knew any other suggestions would be futile. They slump their heads, none wanting to face the wrath of their youngest.
“So…who’s going first?”
“God they are so frustrating!” The youngest fumed, shoving the plate of Jaejoong’s homemade pie down his throat, already feeling himself calm. Licking the cherry chunks on the corner of his lips, he looked around his room. His eyes landed on the empty spot on his dresser drawer and traced a finger over the dusty wood.
His eyes narrowed as he remembered how angry he was at his hyungs, for treating him like a child as if he was fragile and unable to walk on his own. They were worried, and Min always appreciated the concern and the never ending love, but the replay of what just happened was ridiculous. More so than before.
At first it was okay, something minor like: “Don’t eat so much, you’re going to get fat.” And Min did just that, he didn’t eat as much, only sneaking and stashing what he could in his room.
Then it gradually got worse and the subtly of their words no longer made sense. He noticed something was wrong when he was about to purchase a doll that he was very fond of, and told his hyungs about it when it was broadcasted on T.V. He didn’t remember exactly, but their reason for stopping him went along the lines of “Min, you silly boy, haven’t you watched Chucky before?” and like before, all his hyungs would back each other up, fawning over him.
Min places a hand underneath his chin, recollecting all those nonsense moments with his hyungs. There were also times where, his hyungs would fight against each other about something he said. Changmin snaps his finger as the memory comes rushing back in.
He had complimented on Yoochun’s new piano song that he composed and he had wanted to learn it. He sat on the same stool as him, thinking nothing about personal space. Before the thought of touching Min even crosses Yoochun’s mind, he was pulled violently away from the pianist by a very angry umma. “CHANGMIN, Don’t you remember what I said that sleaze ball uses his piano skills for?!” He must not have said anything because the blonde continued. “He uses them lure innocent victims into dark alleyways and do you know what he does to them?!” He remembers shaking his head no. “VERY VERY BAD YOOCHUN THINGS.”
Min shakes his head to rid the images of blood slaughter from the older brother and mother of the group. He had no idea what was up lately, but it needs to end. The excuses are becoming more redundant and he’s not falling for the whole “I love you.” crap anymore, even if they mean it. He’s no longer a child, and he’s going to prove to them how much he has grown.
Before could do his diabolical laugh, he hears the sound of scuffling feet and hushed voices outside his door.
“Dude, you go in first.”
“No are you crazy? I can feel the storm brewing in there.”
“You’re the eldest! Go talk to him.”
“You’re the flirtatious pig; maybe you can sweet talk him first.”
“Do you really want me to?”
A pause, then a loud smash and the sound of a dying cat could be heard.
“DON’T YOU DARE.”
“Ackk you suggested it!”
“Hey- guys! Guys! Min! Remem-!” Another smack, and he hears a loud thud on the carpet floor.
“I’m s-scared…”
Changmin sighs, and decides to open his door then, mouth agape at the scene before him.
Yoochun was currently in a sleeper hold, face distorted from trying to stay awake. Jaejoong looked vaguely like Kim Jong Kook and his huge muscles, which of course, he was over-exaggerating in his mind. Yunho must have tried to act leader and intervene, but was knocked out in the process, lying face first on the carpet. Changmin didn’t dare turn him over. Junsu, was on his knees, fanning the leader with a tissue.
Seeing Yoochun turning purple, the youngest cleared his throat, drawing all attention to him. “Changmin-ah!” Jaejoong released his hold and approached the youngest, not caring if he stepped on any limbs on the process.
Yoochun glared daggers into the blonde’s back, but smiled as he saw Min in the doorway. Junsu had gotten up as well, propping a dazed Yunho up.
“Minnie…I just wanted to apologize.” Yoochun started, and wrapped a lazy arm around the man he had just wrestled with. “We all do.”
“Yeah, we didn’t know you would be so upset.”
“This won’t happen again next time, right guys?” Yunho spoke, trying his best to smile even in pain.
“Yeah Min! You know we’re just looking out for you!” A happy squeak.
“Forgive us?” they pleaded simultaneously.
They were expecting an angry dongsaeng, a hit, a yell, or even the door slamming in their faces, but not a laughing Min. The tallest clutched his sides, laughing whole heartily, leaning against the doorway.
“You guys! You think I would be mad over this?” Changmin inquired.
“Well…” Junsu drifted off, his finger touching the bump on his head.
Changmin walked past the astonished members, his back turned towards them. “I forgive you, I understand.”
They all looked at each other, “Really?” Yunho questioned, a bit skeptical, but nonetheless happy.
Changmin turned around, his smile as innocent as an angel,, but in his mind he already had the plan brewing.
“Of course!”
Not.
