So, due to the demand for an update, I'm getting off my butt and writing something on here. Really don't know what I'm going to write about, but whatever.
So I'm in Halifax right now. I flew here last night, Jess is in class right now. I tried smuggling a knife onto my plane yesterday...it didn't work. It was a Swiss Army knife which I keep in my jacket and use to adjust my kids bindings with, and I'd totally forgotten about it. They were really good about it though, and told me that I could just mail it to myself. So I did. Apart from that, the flight was uneventful. I didn't have a window seat, but it was so dark and cloudy that it really wouldn't have been all that exciting to have one anyway. Some old lady sat next to me and kept trying to engage me in conversation. Like, she'd be watching the weather, and say "oh! +2 degrees in Edmonton, that's quite unseasonable! At this time of year I daresay they're rather more used to colder temperatures!" and I'd just say something like "mmm-hmm" and go back to reading. Oh well, it wasn't so bad. It's a short flight anyway.
Skiing is going well, my kids are really improving, so that's great. This weekend was awesome; Saturday was like spring it was so warm. The snow was soft, but not too soft. And true to their spring customs, Mont Ste Marie got their barbeque thang on, out on the patio. Everyone hung out there, and I got fed beers after skiing. Sunday, yesterday, was a lot colder, but it snowed, and that was fun. I felt great on my skis this weekend though, and had a great time pushing myself. I almost died several times, but managed to stay on my feet. Yay.
So anyway, Jess and I are still going strong, if it wasn't implied by the fact that I'm here in Halifax. Going on 8 months! And she's super great and I love her and let's hope it lasts a loooooong time!
Okay, that's enough for now. I'm really tired. Laterrrr
