Take for instance, the fact that the janitor makes twice as much as the top security guard at the Harn Museum...

Oh, and get a load of how your tuition money is blown. SAE recently held the annual "Soap Box Derby" of which I had the extreme delight in over-engineering a car that rolls down a hill. We had UPD block off Center Drive, which probably cost about $500. However, we had to rent 500 bales of hay, (read: farm garbage) for the low low price of... $2,500. Also, we had to unload and load it ourselves.
Not only was I blown away by the price of hay, and that there's a place that rents it (only twenty minutes away!!), but here's the total number of cars that particpated... ... ... two. And the other team didn't even make it to the bottom.
All in all, it cost us $300 each time we rolled a wheeled frame down a hill. Apparently, SG can't burn money fast enough.
Oh yeah, since we "won," we're allowed to spend $100 to buy our own trophy. We can't buy anything practical, like aluminum stock or beer, we have to buy a trophy. They want a receipt.
