Superbowl stuff stolen from Mandy

THE MUSIC BEAT: Super update: Shows, parties ... and Paris
After the holiday break, the press releases came tumbling in, announcing shows for Super Bowl week. I have a calendar on my computer, and it's running out of room. Something like five shows every night beginning Wednesday.
As far as rumors, news and confirmations, here's the skinny.
# Hotel heiress Paris Hilton will be at Plush on Thursday, Feb. 3. She tried to book Ruth's Chris (for the poor, it's a steak house) and even tried for the top floor of the Hilton. They apparently thought the NFL was much more important than her daddy.
# Outkast has been confirmed for a "diamond party" at Plush on Wednesday, Feb. 2. It is hosted by Big Boi and it's to celebrate Speakerboxxx/The Love Below going platinum.
# BET will be filming Rap City at the Roxy on Friday, Feb. 4.
# MTV spokeswoman Jennifer DeGuzman said the network's Super Bowl plans had not been finalized.
# The Ying Yang Twins and Lil' Flip were set to be in town, but they demanded 13 five-star hotel rooms, and the promoter just couldn't make it happen.
# Adam Sandler is going to be at Plush's Leather and Lace party on Friday, Feb. 4. He will be accompanied by Brook Burke (a.k.a. hot host of Wild On E! ) and 10 Playmates.
# The Times-Union Center for the Performing Arts will be used for private parties.
# Budweiser is having a couple of shows at an "undisclosed location." Apparently they will be free and will feature Three Doors Down and local boys Shinedown on Thursday, Feb. 3. Lonestar, Sarah Evans and Andy Griggs will play Friday, Feb. 4. There's no way to buy tickets; they will be given away through contests.
# Terror Squad's Fat Joe has booked Shades in Orange Park for a party or a performance.
