Eat Tar
So, I kinda forgot to mention this in that last post and now it's too late, but...
chully and I joined the Beanpole float in the parade this year, and it went pretty well (aside for the a couple dirty looks from parents when I was handing out stickers). The float this year involved Uncle Sam playing tetherball against the High Priest (on a moving vehichle, while the High Priest chanted such gems of wisdom as "Ching-chong!", "Eat tar", some Shakespeare, and of course "Beanpole is the god of pointless behaviour. Beanpole (beanpole)." via megaphone). Hmmmmm.
Stickers this year included the standard "BEANPOLE is the god of pointless behaviour.", "Support Suspicious Activity", and "Watch out for the Monkeys!" We were behind the Humans Rights float and before the Pizza Express car. This was the 12th year Beanpole has been in the parade (though the first year I did it).
My costume involved an annoyingly bright green shirt whose tag says "Direction Men" (which I think is really funny), a ugly green hate with butterflies on it, an eyepatch, and some power supply wires as a tail and hair. My brother was the one with the shrub on his head.
Ahhhhhhh, lots of parties and cookouts today :p
