A Hypothetical Situation

If there was a prophecy saying that someone would never return from a trip by sea, do you think that that prophecy would modernize itself to something by plane as well?

Then again if the prophecy wasn't fulfilled the first time the person went somewhere, would that mean that all prophecies are meaningless?

Besides, aren't they all dark and foreboding? Has anyone ever heard of a happy prophecy?
