Faux Pas?

Apr 30, 2009 00:10

Currently, I'm in bed with another man. I met him at the restaurant I was eating at tonight and he was upset because he'd been stood up. He tried to drown his sorrows and when that didn't work, I offered to take him back to his place and help him get to sleep ( Read more... )

hooking up, wandering life, to sleep or not to sleep, happy to help, don't want to be rude

Um.

I am not entirely certain what one would do in that sort of situation. I mean, it was very nice of you to do so, of course. Just - you could, um, leave a note? If you do decide that leaving would be most appropriate. It might be polite?

You could call a cab, though. To get home? Not that you could do that if you do not know where you are. Oh, I am not being very much help at all ...

Do I just need to know the name of the complex if I called a cab?

And a note sounds perfect. ♥ If I can get him to let go of me.

I should imagine?

And you may be able to flag one down if you can get outside.

That last one I am afraid I cannot be of much assistance with. Especially if he is holding onto things that you would prefer not to part with.

That sounds like a good Plan B. Although running very quickly whether or not he wants to let go of me should his boyfriend show up is a close second.

Do you think he wants me to stay? Or does he just not want to be alone in general?

Oh! That would likely be a problem, yes.

I - well, I do not know if I can speak directly for anyone else, but I cannot see why someone would not want you to stay. Um. Though the boyfriend factor does kind of come into play again.

I guess it depends on how hung up he is as far as his relationship goes. I'm thinking about waking him up and asking him while he's still probably half drunk.

That could work.

Most people are more amenable to things when mildly inebriated, I understand. And they cannot run as fast if they happen to be displeased for some reason.

I didn't consider that, but you definitely have a point.

Are we still on for dinner and star-gazing? ♥

I am known to occasionally have them.

Oh, of course! ♥ Whenever is most convenient for you.

Again, you're underestimating yourself.

Maybe tomorrow night?

Did you want to actually consider this a date or more so a get together between friends?

Tomorrow is very fine.

I - can we, um, see? Which way it fits?

Not to say that I have any objections to, um, either one - because I do not. At all. Honest!

I just didn't know if it would make you uncomfortable or not if I thought you were beautiful. ♥

Uncomfortable, no.

Kind of stupidly flushed? Far more likely.

Stupidly? I don't think you could pull that off.

You may be surprised.

(I am kidding. ♥ You do not have to tell me that I am not stupid again.)

[ooc: Can I just say that I am terribly amused by the fact that they are discussing dating while he's in bed with another dude ... *sighs and hangs head*]
