Dyke March Pictures
Saturday we were supposed to go to main Pride and meeting up with
doctordidj. The weather report didn't look favorable, but we decided to set out because if you didn't go outside when there was an unfavorable weather report? Nothing would get done. And if it had turned out that the line of waiting thunderstorms had held off until three in the afternoon, we would have felt very silly.
It was a nice thought, but on the road to Boston it started to pour and we could see that the road ahead of us disappeared into a solid gray haze. Maybe not. So we gave our regrets and returned home to putter for the rest of the day.
Anyway, I was sorry to miss the main Boston Pride, but I thought I'd share some pictures from the Dyke March.

Crowd scenes, these more or less follow our parade route. The one thing I'm SAD about is I didn't catch any pictures of cheering fans (my favorite was a whole group of employees at one of the hotels waving enthusiastically) and the dykes on bikes were providing crowd control.
There were handing out colorful stickers for people to take. Other options were "Femme", "Butch", "Geek Dyke", "Top", "Bottom", "Jewish Dyke", "Well-hung Dyke" and a bunch of others.
Good Vibrations was handing out swag,
