A Long Chat without a Conclusion
While many are trying to keep their jobs or finding a new one, I am trying to walk away from mine gracefully. I thought that as long as they could see the dollars and cents benefits of letting go of me, I should be able to go. Yet to my surprise, the most unlikely director rejected the idea because she managed to see the value beyond dollars and cents in me.
Tonight the Director of Heart wanted to chat with me to see how we could work things out to make it happen for me to stay on in the job. She asked me what will make me stay. Integrity and management being fixed was my answer.
Soon, you might probably arrange for me to present my review of the company's issue to the CEO to see if that could be fixed. I guess I am a rare soul who speaks so openly and freely. I have nothing to gain from the meet up. I guess if I were to do it, it is really for the better of the company, staff and clients. It's amazing how powerful one can be when one is not even in position. I got to exercise that with care.
