Presentation

It's amazing. I was so energized after the presentation, I had a hard time going to sleep even with cough mixture knocking in.

I was representing my team to do a presentation on learning challenges and procedures for having kids assessed before accepting them into our program. Things were still changing last minute because that's how the CEO works. I thought I would never get to be up close and personal with him but yesterday Chris told me I got to see the CEO for clearance on the slides and handouts. Sure, why not. What an opportunity to be looking into the office of the CEO. I am curious how this person works and what kind of environment he likes to work in.

He appears to be exactly what DT says. Straight forward and quick in decision making. Not a man for too much details. He trust us for our professionalism and that's what's important. His trust = empowerment.

Last night there were 170+ professionals and they had already went through 2 hours of talks way before my turn. I was worried that they will not be paying attention and I may bore some of them. But they were so attentive and wide awake to learn that I was spurred to give an energetic presentation.

I have stood in front of thousands of kids talking to them and sharing with them. They always showed their respect with attentiveness and silence while I talk and that made me feel good. I had wondered what it would be like with a hall of adults professionals. I got my answer. I felt fantastic especially when there were questions asked and right after the night ended I have people who kept coming up to me to shake my hand and thank me, praise me, encourage me and one even salute me. Hahaha! What shocked me most was when my CEO tapped me on my back and told me repeatedly that that was a fantastic presentation. Can you imagine the excitement I have?
