(no subject)
So. Tonight. I had to give my nephew some of the "talk" My 5 1/2 year-old nephew asked me where babies come from. And I have always said that with my own children I will not lie. And from what I hear and what I myself experienced when I was young, I KNOW children learn about it much sooner then we truly believe. No I didn't give him like the EXACT description of what happens but there was talk about "sperm" and "eggs" to which he said "That makes no sense." I had to laugh because no it wouldn't. Then he said "I thought only animals had eggs." So really he didn't understand it but I wasn't going to lie to him. I grew up never having "The Talk" and not that I was desperate to have it, considering I knew about all of it WAY before my Mother would care to know, however I never felt comfortable talking about anything to do with sex with my mom. Still don't, to an extent.
Anyway ... it was quite amusing. We were in the car, and it was completely dark, which I am thankful for because I was totally blushing like mad. And trying so hard not to laugh.
