So semester 5 has now come to a close. It doesn't seem like it's been that long. My last exam was this morning, and while I am still anxious to get my grades in, I no longer need to stress over getting said grades. I'm hopeful that with the stress of end of term finally coming to an end that I can start to once again feel a little more like myself. Even though my summer semester starts Monday not giving me much chance to really relax, the stress of a new semester is different from the stress caused from the end of semester, and I am hopeful that I will be able to find the time to really sit back and get back to feeling like me. And while there are parts of me that are still me that I haven't lost, there are a couple parts that seem to have gone into hiding, and it is those that I would like to be able to re-find. What makes up 'me' is all the parts of me, not just little bits here and there. I just somehow need to find an outlet to aid in bringing those parts of me out from their hiding spots. That's probably going to be the tricky part. I am hoping that once I am able to re-find those, I will be able to balance out once again. And until then, I will just have to enjoy the me that I currently am, not that I am not already, I will just have to learn to encorporate everything together sort of.
Anyways, enough of my rambling. The courses I start on Monday are:
- Women in Native Religion (or something of the sort, can't remember the exact title)
- Planets, Stars, and Moons (a geology class)
- Art History (can't remember the specifics other than it is an online class and it focuses on Canadian art)
In the second half of the summer I also have an online course on the history of China, which I keep hearing mixed reviews about (it's a love it or hate it class apparently)
In addition to school starting up again shortly, I will be attending a lecture on Friday evening focusing on the comparisons between Greek mythology and Anatolian mythology. It seems like it will be an interesting lecture, and while I know a lot about Greek mythology, I know very little about Anatolian mythology, though I've heard that they are very similar (thus most likely, the reason of the lecture I will be attending). I will probably post about the lecture sometime over the weekend.
Hopefully it will be a fun and interesting summer, and to all of you who are still in exams or are just finishing them up, hope they went/are going well ^.^
