Spoofing an Online Quiz

So, dolorousedda, your LiveJournal reveals…

You are… 0% unique, 30% peculiar, 55% interesting, 12% normal and 3% herdlike (partly because you, like everyone else, enjoy writing). When it comes to friends you are lonely. In terms of the way you relate to people, you are keen to please. Your writing style (based on a recent public entry) is conventional.

Your overall weirdness is: 42

(The average level of weirdness is: 28.
You are weirder than 82% of other LJers.)

Find out what your weirdness level is!

At first I completely failed at this quiz, 'cause my interests list was empty lol. So I started filling stuff in; normal things, like reading, writing, anime, fantasy, science fiction... That's all very common stuff though, so at first I was rated 100% herdlike and 0% everything else. Miffed, I figured I'd try to play around with it to see if I could get the numbers to change. I started filling the list with more specific things, like the titles of my favorite authors and anime; I stuck with things that I figured wouldn't be all that common, but would still be recognizable. I also put in some Filipino titles, not to mention Nick Joaquin; I figured I ought to, since I'm Filipino after all. ^^;

I got the herdlike percentage to go down a good deal by taking out umbrella terms; I only managed to get a nonzero unique percentage by using the terms 'philippine genre stories' and 'philippine speculative fiction', but I decided to take those out 'cause that's cheating too much lol. XD I also managed to reach a weirdness level of 51 - think that was the highest - though it felt like I was pushing too hard. So I trimmed the list, and added some things I thought I'd forgotten, like DS games and comics. I only managed to add the things that came to mind at the time - I even almost forgot authors like Diana Wynne Jones and Jack Vance :( - so the list is mostly things that I've either liked for a really long time, or got into recently. I doubt I'll update this list though; it can be a time capsule, something for me to look back on someday when I'm paging through my archives lol.

As for the friends and the writing style... I suppose 'keen to please' means that I've friended more people than those who've friended me, which makes sense 'cause I'm not gregarious. (Or maybe it refers to communities, though I dunno how that works out; I watch a lot more comms than I've joined, and I can't tell what lurking has to do with pleasing anybody.) I would've been deeply affected by the 'lonely' part as recently as college, but now I don't mind it so much; I've always been a loner in RL anyway. I'm not sure what a 'conventional' writing style is supposed to be - my latest public post as of now is a KakaIru fanfic. Without knowing the metrics I can't tell what that means; simplest thing would be a word count lol. Too bad the code for the quiz isn't available, I'd like to have a look at it. ^^
