Found this picture and thought that I would share it. This was taken at Va Tech around '93 or so. See how many people you can identify :)

'92 or '93 probably. I'm guessing by the length of my hair, but I'm not like a tree where you can cut me open and count my rings.
BTW, this is pretty cool, I don't think that I've had a post before with this many responses. Looks like I should dig into the archives and post a few more pics :)
that's got my vote--by fall of 93 i don't think enough people were getting on well enough for the posing to have happened! (and by then geof was being dragged down i think in lieu of tony...)
Scary how true that statement is. What a truck load of ding-bats we turned into back then. And there I am, driving the ding-bat truck in my druggy sunglasses and all.
Life back then could have been so simple and easy going, why did we have to turn it into a train wreck? Oh well, at least it hasn't had any long term affects (effects? grammer Nazis? I'm pretty sure its "a"?) on us......DOH!
effects are results, which is what you meant. affects are changes, which is also possible. and what are you talking about "no long term" either one? lord a'mercy, i was thinking about this yesterday, and am pretty damn sure that if i hadn't met you ding-bats (you and that hair were so pretty, and not druggy at all!) and done all of the ding-batty things right along with you that i did, i wouldn't be here--at least not in any kind of recognizeable shape.
i was still half-formed when i left high school. i did the rest of my becoming in the ding-bat truck. you're an excellent driver. :)

That sounds like a great kids/YA book comment.
I second the vote that there were plenty of long-term effects (and affects) from this association in general. Among the big positives: I learned a lot about what was and was not important to me in relationships, how to get the heck off my soap box and stable that high horse (in my memory, I didn't have a thing to say about the smoking in this picture besides how appropriate it was for the "look"), and how dreams can grow when shared.
I've seen this several times over the years, but always forget that that is fuzzy on the end.....
