Party Followup
The Design Mike's House party went better then I could have hoped. One of the greatest disapointments with my last house was the inability to throw a party where more then three people could show up. Mostly because of the lack of parking, but also because of the layout of the place.
I received a ton of good feedback on what to do with the house, and everyone was having a good time. And more importantly, I felt efficient in my ability to plan, and keep up with the mess (woke up Sunday morning and had NOTHING to clean because I had been managing it all night, I RULE!
The outdoor fireplace was a huge hit, infact we only went inside at 2am when I ran out of things to burn and people were starting to look at the chairs with an evil grin on their faces, it was below freezing by that time (I had already found scrap wood in the garage and cut it up on the table saw). On top of that, the view from the deck was perfect for the luner eclipse. Last night DW and I had dinner at her folk's house and they offered me as much wood as I wanted to haul away, in exchange for moving boxes so hopefully I won't run out of wood again.
