How to wear a dirndl
I found a cute dirndl on Etsy for a great price, but I'm not really sure that someone as, well, German as I am can wear one without looking like I'm on my way to Oktoberfest. Any suggestions for making it less costumey, or is something like that best left to a cute little Asian girls? Or really, any thoughts on keeping dolly wearable for a normal Western girl (as I believe many of us are)? With all the layering and pattern mixing and emphasis on vintage, the look can go pretty quickly from "cute Grimoire shopgirl" to "I'm wearing the first dozen things that came to hand at the Salvation Army," which isn't quite the look I'm going for.
