So this weekend was made of AWESOME!
I had a fantastic time with my mum, the only problem is that now i miss her terribly and she's only been away about 2 hours! But I'll see her again in 6 sleeps so that makes up for it. *grins*
"What did we do?" you may be wondering! Well, in all honesty, not much! We went to area's of Paris Mum hadn't seen since she was here as an au-pair(yes, i was following in my mum's footsteps!), things like the Centre George Pompidou or Le Marais, and we also did shopping! I got 5 gorgeous headbands, a funky scarf, a cool ring, a gorgeous pair of shoes and a cowboy badge!(it's a stickman with a cowboy hat on and a sheriff's badge, hee. Saw it and thought of our boys Jared and Jensen!) I also saw a toilet door sign that said Sam on it! But i didn't have my camera so unfortunately i didn't manage to snap a pic!
Our feet were killing us after all our bargain hunting so we just sat and watched tv in the evenings, while enjoying our yummy goodies! *grins*
I also got to eat proper food, yippee!
Apart from that it was really good to spend time with my mum, i forgot how much we laugh in a day normally so it was good to get back into that. *beams*
We were talking about uni, and my dad and brothers, and my friends, and my plans for when i get back home, we talked loads now i think about it!
So now i'm just waiting for Consuelo and Paolo to get back, hopefully they won't be here for another 3 hours so i can enjoy the peace and quiet!
Then i'll be looking after Paolo til either Saturday or Sunday and then...
"I'm leaving on a jet plane!"
and coming home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't quite believe it lol, it feels like i've been here in Paris for about 2 or 3 years! But i'm so glad, I've missed my family and friends terribly and i need to get back into my old routine...although i do intend on improving it!
So that's me rambled on long enough about my weekend, now for the pics you asked to see!
I had loads of fun doing this, i've always loved taking photo's so this was fab! Anyways, i shall get down to business...
smeckles90 asked me for:
A random French thing -
Okay, okay, so you're probably looking at the trolley thinking "That's not french!" but seriously, i have a point to this! If you ever come to Paris, you'll notice that EVERYONE(not just older people!) uses these things to carry their shopping home in, EVERYONE! So maybe it's not originally French but it's the only i country know where every kind of person uses it!
The view from a window in the flat -
This is the view from my bedroom window in Paris - interesting no? :p
You'll notice lights on in some of the other flats, this pic was taken at about 9ish in the evening, see how light it was?!
Your bedroom in Paris -
Here we are! This is where i have spent many an afternoon doing my french homework or studying, or just thinking and enjoying thunderstorms! *grins*
Like the Tweenies duvet cover? *giggles*
The one thing you are most glad to have with you in France -
This one was pretty easy, if i'd been at home it would have been much harder!
Anyways, Kermit it was for 2 reasons: Firstly, Mum gave him to me for Christmas(which was special itself coz i hadn't seen my family in 4 months) and secondly because he's helped me through the difficult times here!(when i say helped me i mean dried up my tears, literally.) So there we go! I've always had a soft spot for Kermit anyways. *beams*
obsessed_psyco asked for:
a picture of you in your bedroom in Paris -
As much as I loathe this pic of me I love my friend so here you go hun!
trustygeek wanted to see:
the contents of your handbag -
Firstly, apologies, i do not have a handbag with me so here's one of the two bags i do have here! Secondly, the reason it's all been laid out is because i have a stupid bag. So stupid in fact that when i tried to take a pic of the contents while trying to keep the bag open, you could only see half the stuff!
your favorite pair of shoes (if you have them with you in Paris) -
I don't have my favourite favourite pair of shoes with me, but of the pairs i do have with me these are my faves! Aren't the ladybird cute? *beams*
something that you always have with you -
Sorry the pic's blurred, i'd take another one but my camera decided to run out of battery! *isn't chuffed* Here is my Carte Orange! It's how i get about Paris and I'd be lost without it! Very useful so it is. :D
longhairedlady asked for:
I want a picture of your suitcase/ rucksack whatever! -
Here is my dear friend the suitcase! He's been with me the last year and i'm proud to say he's held all my luggage without too much complaint! Sometimes i wish he was more attractive but i appreciate his practicalness(Is that even a word?)...practicality!!! That's what i meant!
and last but certainly not least,
unhobbityhobbit wanted pictures of:
Something that's really, really French. -
There were plenty of options for this one but in the end i decided on this *grins* Can you get more french than this? Methinks probably not...
Something that's really not French (I DON'T KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT). -
So i was going to cheekily post a picture of myself, i mean, i definately am not french but i thought you guys would appreciate this more! A picture of my french classmates and teacher(I know she's french but you get what i mean)! Top row from left to right - Aurit(from Israel), Valèria(from Japan), Rozie(from Kenya, Africa), Hèlèn(from Brazil) and Ann-Claire(the teacher!). Bottom row - Maricia(from South Africa) and Bahar(from Germany) So there you have it! 3 other people were missing from class but i rarely spoke to them so it doesn't matter :D
So that's me finally done!
I'm off to see what's happening in SPN land!
*squishy hugs to everyone*
