Day 21 Update
As the night draws to an end, a very special guest returns to usher the second year of Dollsy to a close; the Shadow Man appears in the Attic, and begins working his way down through the house, walking through every room as he undertakes his journey. In general, he is a normal-sized, shadowy apparition of a man with no discernible features, a silhouette that seems to be little more than a trick of the light.... until you see him moving towards you. Though he moves at a walk, he speeds up unbelievably when he is spots a potential victim, and rushes to seize and tear them to pieces.
Once he sees you, there is no escape, and there is no salvation; there is no way to stop, stun, hurt, or kill this creature, alone or in numbers. He can, however, be hidden from--provided that you are entirely hidden from sight, silent, and very, very still.
Once dawn arrives, he ends his journey in the Graveyard--specifically, slipping into the locked Mausoleum, and vanishing. As his journey ends, so to does the night, and does the helplessness that comes with it--the monsters vanish, as does whatever strange force that kept people powerless for the entire night. It is a bleak, dark morning for certain, the sunrise mostly hidden by lingering gray clouds and a light, depressing drizzle, all that remains as the night's vicious thunderstorm clears up. The air has cooled significantly, and perhaps might even be comfortable, were it not for how unpleasantly humid it remains.
As the Shadow Man leaves, however, the Phantasms arrive, several handfuls of them moving purposefully through the house to seize their latest batch of experiment victims.
