Regarding rule #17 -- are vampires exempt from that rule? Technically they're dead, but at the same time they're... not.
If it helps any, I'm asking this question with this guy in mind. He's a lot more interesting to play as a vampire [whether a fledgling vampire or an uber-powerful demigod] than as a human. And not only that, but there's almost no information at all about him as a human, so if he were to be taken from before his death, he would have every chance of turning into an OC with a canon character's face.
Thanks in advance, and sorry if I posted this in the wrong place.
Hullo there! ^__^ (I was guided here by one of the players here... This RP looks SO intense!)
I have a question! :3
Can characters form relationships that don't necessarily exist in their canon after they enter Dollsy? Say, for instance, that I wanted to play Character A. In Character A's canon, they are single. But after Character A enters Dollsy, he meets Character B. So here's my question.
Can Character A and Character B form some sort of friendly/romantic/buttsex/rivalry relationship even though it didn't exist in Character A's canon?
I...can't actually apply yet but I've begun working on an app so I might as well ask.
I'm hoping to apply for a character who has the ability to make pacts with monsters in canon and have them fight for him. This means that he tends to have three or four monster companions at all times (shapes, sizes, and powers depending on the monster). I know Rule 21 says you're allowed to bring them but, I'm wondering if the number changes anything--would he be allowed to keep all of them, one of them, none of them, make-up-a-party-and-pick, or what? And would he be able to form pacts with the monsters that appear in the game?
...I think that might have been confusing so I can try clarifying further if you want.
Thanks for asking! :3 Your character will be able to bring the 3-4 monster companions he has with him personally to the house, the way a pokémon trainer would be able to bring the full complement of pokémon they have with them. He won't, however, be able to form pacts with the monsters here--though he can certainly try!
If you're able to elaborate more on how exactly he forms pacts with them, I might be able to be more specific on the situation he'll face with them?
The basic idea in pact-making is that because the character has the power of a spirit who's in charge of the monsters, after proving to a monster that he's stronger (i.e., beating them up in battle) he can cast some magic to try having it join the party. This can fail, though, in which case nothing more happens. There's a walkthrough video on it here, if that helps.
Ahhhh, okay! I get it. So when your character tries to do this in Dollsy, he'll probably notice that two things are different here with the monsters: 1) it's like there's some sort of wall between them, metaphorically speaking--the magic just won't be getting through to them or swaying them at all. 2) Most of the monsters aren't too intelligent, barring the noted exceptions and whatnot--they're very likely going to fight to the death anyway, just from pure killing instinct, so there probably won't always be much left of them to try and ally with after a fight.
Ah, I heard that there was a young Sasuke Uchiha already taken, but I was wondering if it would be possible for me to apply for another Sasuke, this one from the latest point in the series? I've played as him with a younger duplicate before with no problems, but I understand if that's a problem here.
Ah, sorry! Due to plot reasons, we're only able to allow one version of a character at a time. You're definitely welcome to pick up someone else though, even a character who's been dropped. :)
I know characters don't keep journals, but can they keep personal diaries as long as it's labeled under their journal as such? No one will be able to see it or comment on it unless their find the diary hidden...wherever it is that it is hidden.
