Welcome and Rules
Welcome to the Doll Shelf!
Things are going to be fun and relaxed here, so I really only have one basic rule:
1. Respect each other. No bashing. One of my favorite things about dolls is all their differences, which is probably part of why I collect all different kinds, of all shapes and sizes. Any bashing of any member, for any reason, will not be tolerated. If there's ever a cause for friendly debate, that's always welcome, but there will not be any flaming for personal or doll-related reasons. People from any age group and any walk of life is invited here. Dolls do not discriminate and neither shall we. :)
Other points to remember:
2. Dolls are not just for girls, and they're not just for little kids! Any guys out there who collect, and anyone of anyone of any age - don't hesitate to join.
3. No doll is too big or small to post, and no brand of doll is better than another. From high-end fashion dolls to play lines, princesses to monsters, the most expensive BJD to the most affordable little rag doll (and action figures, too!) - they all have a place on the Shelf.
4. Rules for posts are going to be fairly open-ended unless a change is necessitated. Please include a title with your post and tag it appropriately (according to specific brand or doll name). If there is any adult content in a post, please include a warning (or a rating for fics) and place it behind a cut. Picspams are definitely encouraged, but any picture after the first should be behind a cut to save Flist space and internet connections. The one thing I will ask members is to please not post anything for sale. There are several other LJ communities to facilitate that.
5. Feel free to share anything about your dolls that you want to! Show your pictures, fashions, custom creations, squee over upcoming releases or a great find, post any kind of dolly fiction you may write - there are so many possibilities. Most of all, have fun and share your dolly love!
