It's so effing BEAUTIFUL, and the fact that the Doctor was basically like "IDGAF" about potentially screwing with history because he deserved to see what resonance his work had, and then Amy being like, "It didn't make any difference," and the Doctor's speech at the end...I will never get over that episode. And visually it was just really striking, too. And the music. And BASICALLY EVERYTHING ABOUT IT. THERE WAS NO BUCKET BIG ENOUGH FOR MY CREYS.
Oh Jesus Christ, when Vincent was describing how he saw the world around him and the sky became Starry Night as he talked adskfnakjsdf;askldjfa;sdkljfa;sldkjfkaskjdfanlsjdfanskldfja. THE PRETTY. THE VISUAL PRETTY.

And: Pain is easy to portray, but to use your passion and pain to portray the ecstasy and joy and magnificence of our world, no one had ever done it before. Perhaps no one ever will again.
GOD. THAT EPISODE. It was my favorite of the season, too. It's up amongst my favorite episodes of all time, and you know how I feel about Ten(annt). That episode is perfect.
