Want Vs. Need
I received my christmas gift from my parents this year, when I questioned them in regards to what they gave me I received this answer from my father:
"You know, gifts don’t have anything to do with what you want or need always!"
My question is this? What other category is there? I am rather hurt and insulted by this answer and I am sincerely looking for an explanation on this.
If its not something the person would want or need, and you KNOW this, why would you get them that?
