[ooc:Because it occured to me that I should probably explain why he acts and reacts the way he does sometimes. Wisely was attacked by three exorcists and as a result, he has a lot of issues to deal with.]
Wisely became a Noah eight months ago. As a result of turning, his memories were completely wiped out. It bothers him a little but he loves his new Family dearly so he doesn't mention it. He might not remember much from his former life but he knew he was an orphan. He's been alone most of his life. He was finally apart of something and that made him happy. He loves his Family and his new life. But his humanity ruined that by leaving him vulnerable.
His humanity. When becoming a Noah, most lose there humanity, the little voice inside of them that makes them human. Wisely was unlucky, however, and retained his. As a result, while he is now a Noah, he still has a small part of him that thinks like a human. That humanity has more control over him than he'd like. It stops him from using his powers completely and puts him in dangerous situations. His humanity constantly whispers in his ear, telling him what's "right" and "wrong" and how living as a Noah is the wrong choice. "Think of the exorcists" it tells him. "Think of how those humans feel when you kill them or mess with their brains." He can't drown out the voices in his head.
While practicing his new powers, five months after turning, his humanity stepped in and cancelled out his powers. Unable to fight with his powers, he was left defenseless and found himself ambushed by three exorcists.
There were two weapon-type Innocence users. He managed to kill one of the weapon-users. He didn't get a good look at their Innocence before the other one attacked him. The girl had a cross-bow that shot arrows of different elements. She pegged him with several ice arrows, leaving him immobile. Unable to fight back and immobile, Wisely finally felt what his victims had felt. Terror. Shock. Horror. His emotions were in constant fluctuation. He wasn't allowed too much time to contemplate his situation, though, before the parasite-innocence user set his back ablaze, trying to burn him alive. He wanted to be strong and not react. He tried biting his tongue to keep from crying out but feeling his flesh being cooked was too much. He screamed his head off.
It was then he learned he had another power. The girl exorcist, the weapon-user, had been standing in front of him when he screamed. She had told him that she wanted to watch the look on his face as he suffered, watching as he was burned alive. However, the scream scrambled her brain, sending a wave of pain and panic through her until her mind couldn't take it anymore. It broke her, leaving a wound in her forehead similar to a bullet. Blood trickled down her face from the wound. The parasite-user freaked and went to her side instantly. He picked her up and ran off, leaving Wisely still slowly burning alive.
Wisely really thought he was going to die. Wisely, who had been the most apathetic to the exorcist and this war, swore if he lived he would kill the ones who had done this to him. He had only attacked and killed exorcists when ordered to before this event. He had even left one or two alive when he ran across them without orders to kill. However, now the hatred of exorcists was embedded into his mind, just as the hatred of Innocence was burned into his skin. He hated exorcists and their Innocence, just as he hated the war and wished it was over. The parasite-user had triggered a catalyst, leaving Wisely reborn as a Noah who would gladly fight to wipe out humanity.
He was left there, his back aflame, for nearly twenty minutes before his family finally got to him. It was Road and Tyki who found him first and they quickly rushed to free him and stop the flames. They were almost too late. Wisely's back suffered major three-degree burns stretching from just below his shoulders to just above his waist. Surrounding the wound were second-degree burns. Thankfully, Wisely had passed out from the pain. Still, his brother and sister were outraged at the thought of what he had to endure. They brought him home to the Earl's mansion where he would receive treatment.
The Earl was pissed when he saw what had happened to his beloved family member. He ordered Wisely be cared for and that he not be allowed to leave the mansion until he was fully recovered. His wounds were bandaged but Wisely had drifted into a coma. He didn't wake for three days. When he awoke, another shock befell the Noah family. His humanity had sealed his powers temporarily. Wisely was unable to read minds or manipulate thoughts. The Earl, thinking this a result of the Innocence, demanded that the exorcists be tracked down immediately. Wisely was sentenced to stay home until his powers recovered, which left the young man wondering what he had done wrong. Surely he was being punished for something he had done wrong.
He began to hate his humanity, which had left him defenseless. His humanity kept trying to speak to him, however. Whispering to his mind that he had done the right thing. Whispering that he should pity the exorcists, that joining the Noah family was wrong. He rebelled against the words, fighting the hold they had on him. Fighting his humanity left him weak, however, and made his recovery take that much longer. It took him three and a half long months to recover instead of the two short weeks it should have taken.
On the other hand, he grew to care more for Tyki and Road, who came to his rescue. These two were the ones he depended on most when the Earl ordered him to stay home and recover. He even grew to care for Cyril, though he was careful never to let on that he did. The man was scary when it came to affection. It was Cyril who cared for him the first month he was laid up. Cyril who changed his bandages and tried to heal his wounds. It was Cyril who forced-fed him tomato soup and wouldn't leave his side. He often complained to Tyki and Road about him when they came to visit, which they did nearly every other day, but he didn't hate it as much as he pretended to. He didn't want to be left alone with his thoughts or the small voice of humanity that wouldn't shut up.
After the first month, Wisely was finally strong enough to begin fighting the hold his humanity held on his mind. He'd healed enough that he could sit up in bed, though it pained him to do so. Cyril and Tyki were devastated to notice that the burn on his back would be permanent. Cyril was devastated because he couldn't bare the thought of Wisely's "beautiful young body marred in such an imperfect way" while Tyki's concerns were a little more founded. Tyki understood how much Innocence based wounds hurt, having received his own from Walker, the white haired brat that was their "brother" apparently. His anger rose higher to think that Wisely would experience the same pain as he, without even knowing the face of the one who inflicted this pain on him.
It took two more months for Wisely to recuperate. However, it takes another month before his powers return. Even after they return, though, he has trouble. His humanity won't stay silent, interfering with powers as a Noah. The Earl keeps him confined to the mansion most of the time, not yet ready for Wisely to rejoin the Noah. Wisely works hard to control his powers and for the most part, he's got the hang of it. However, whenever he uses them to much or pushes past the limits set by his humanity, it cancels out his powers. He's finding it more and more difficult to silence the voice in his head. Wisely begins to wonder if this is his punishment, his sin. He lost his human memories to become a Noah. Was that not enough? Must he lose his mind as well?
