glitter revolution

two very good films i have watched in two very good days:

velvet goldmine
little miss hayleigh sold me this dvd a month or so back in virgin. she told me it was fantastic and had brian molko in it. i bought it out of good reviews, curiosity, love for glitter and it being a fiver.

on friday night i made myself some chai in my favourite enourmous stripy mug and watched it through. love love love it. must watch it again as i was pretty tired the last time. its inspiring, mad, and induces bouts of listening to 70s music. well, more so than usual. i drew up a plan for part of my costume for kaaayleigh's do (i take fancy dress very seriously, i warn you! hehe everyone is looking forward to it woop).

eternal sunshine of the spotless mind
saturday was day full of coincidences (its getting seriously freaky now) i ended up changing plans for the waterside festival. poor martin. (ahh, tomorrow is another folk music filled day :P) and going to the fantabulous easyCinema with my filmbuddy/cookiebuddy/thegenerallyfantabulous laura. (she is now even more so, as she gave me fresh baked lemon cookie <3 )

i knew id love this movie. definately recommend it. the concept was brilliant, the soundtrack was quirky and beautiful and not to mention the hair colours involved throughout. i always remember a quote of someone or other in the entertainment industry, i think it may have been when i met Matthew Bourne...er..something along the lines of "a good story should make you think about events in your own life". in other words, during movies, plays or gigs i love, i am constantly going off in little daydreams thinking back through my life, to the future, etc. blah. anyways this film definately makes one do that, and question actions and the past. plus i was thinking all these spotlessmind-esque memories just a few days back and feeling rather sad. aaand now for a shallow moment: ARRRGH kate winslets clothes! makes me want to have money again even more :(

speaking of money, paperchase obviously dont want me, lush i shant even mention, and monsoon have offered all the other temps i worked with permanent positions, and employed some other kind of amy-replacements. i wouldnt mind if my manager had told me the truth, maybe even gave me some constructive criticism, because as far as i am concerned i have not done anything i shouldnt have. i have to wait another week til i can talk to costa manager Mel. bloody hell, all i can do is make coffee. fneh. ah well, im the only person i know who has (almost) mastered Latte Art. haha, thats how sad it is.

im sure i could get a non retail job fairly quickly, (im also entitled to a fair amount of Job-Seeker's Allowance if my sources are correct) but for the moment some kind of sales assistantyness is what im after. [woo ambitious.] its just im a people watcher, a stalker, a thinker..

well, i did flyer milton keynes though on behalf of Aram who plays in Cheif Pequeno [they are a really interesting band, very eclectic and chilled, playing lots of festivals, especially newport pagnell, next friday to sun ;) ] see, costa even employ dreadheads, alcoholics and musicians. crazy.
