so i'm listening to the new rilo kiley, drinking a gin & sprite. i feel like i belong in san diego, california circa nineteen seventy-two. it's very seventies "rock"/ "soul". i hear some dusty springfield, especially in "15"; just barely better than disco but not quite queen or devo status. it's alright. and the new cartel? it's got this interesting blues underbeat but it's still incredibly poppy. it's the same but a little different. i still see so much room for improvement but that's what another 20 day record will get you, right?
he's been gone eight days and it feels like an eternity. probably why i'm drinking by myself on a friday night. that and i hate almost everyone i come in contact with these days. getting in car accidents in a foreign country sucks, even if they are majorly minor. i wanted to spend this whole time bitching but, well, fuck it. i'm going to go really write instead.
