Working from 3-9 really screws one's schedule up, I must say. I have nothing else to do, so I might as well update about my weekend. It's a lot better than cleaning out the sunroom of memories full of friends long and gone.
Friday...got up at 5:00 a.m. to go see my Smithies and baby drum majors at the closing ceremonies at camp. I was so proud of my little ones! It was great seeing the crew again also, even if they were completely exhausted. We had fun throwing peanuts at each other and probably pissing off the waitreses and Pres's dad. Ah well..it was still hilarious.
Drove up to Champaign and met up with Kara, Jon, Dan, and Sara..and were later joined by Meredith, Alison, and Sean. Quite the party..we all fell asleep, haha. Got up, went to Friday's..I proved just how much I sucked at eucher (or however the hell you spell it). Poor Jon had to be my partner.
It's really sad that I won't see these people for a whole year.
The next day was the trumpet sectional. It was scheduled from 12-5, so I had thought we were going to be all hardcore and be marching and playing for the full five hours. Ah..definately forgot what section I was dealing with, haha. We played and marched for about 2 hours, and then went to Jim's house for eatables and wiffle ball. Turns out..I don't suck at Wiffle ball, so my team called me "secret weapon." yesss..However, I am horrible at frisbee. I might as well aim the opposite direction of where I intend it to go because that's where it always ends up. *sigh* Everyone in the section is so fun and nice, and I'm really excited about being in the MI now. Good times.
Sunday..went to my grandparents' house for my grandpa's birthday. 76, baby! My cousins were there and were adorable as always. Reed actually sat in my lap! aaawww..
One of my cousins, however, is glued to his video games. It's sickening. I have concluded that when I have kids, they are not allowed to have video games. PERIOD. Read a book, play outside, draw a freakin' picture. There are better things to do than shoot half-inch high, pixelated aliens.
*end soapbox moment*
After I got home, I hung out with the A-Team, and they got my mind off of Lucky, which was nice. Good times, good times. I wish Anna wasn't leaving so soon. I'm going to miss her =(.
...I didn't even get to say good-bye to him.
There's nothing else to look forward to this summer, except of couse, college.
23 days.
I miss you. Do you miss me?
