This was the response to a gay bashing bible thumper speaking of how homosexuals would burn for eternity:

Hello! It's sad. No matter how you feel about gay people, you were taught by Jesus to love one another...yet, there is so much hate expressed on this thread. The word 'evil' being tossed around Willy Nilly, for example.

Just because you disagree with something, or someone, does not mean they are evil. Evil is a word reserved for Satan, or so I was taught.

Where is the compassion towards others that Jesus talked about? Where is the love He spoke of?

You know, speaking of history, history won't look kindly on those who hate gay people.
The history that matters, the one at the end of time, when God takes you aside, and asks you why did you hate other people that you disagreed with? Did not God create all people? Is not every person important to Him? Are you saying that God does not love even those that sadden Him?

Whatever your reason for your hate, it clouds your words. It colors them in black.

Try to have some compassion, brothers and sisters. Try...

As for me, I will pray that Love conquers all, and that maybe some day, this level of hate will disappear.

(and, I'm sorry that you had to jump into the fire on this thread, LauraLoo.)

Talk to them with Love, and they may listen.
But you talk to them with Hate, and you guarantee they won't.

This made my day....good to know that there are some people out there with their heads on straight.
