Gorgeous writing. I love the mystery you kept with Whiskey and who she really is. Even so you can tell that she really means something to Topher.

The format works very well. The chunks shorter as time passes mostly, creating a good sense of sharpness, of how hard it gets for him. Tough to read - Topher needs hugs! - but really good.
