yesterday was an awesome day and utterly exhausting to say the least. karel and i went undefeated until the fifth round when they made two of the three remaining undefeated teams hit each other and harding beat us and when we read the ballot to find out why we all had tied speaker points but the judge said they believed one study over 3000 studies compiled. but, it was double elimination and harding lost their next round so by semi finals nobody was still undefeated. the final round was so stressful we had like 10 people sitting in and watching from other school and after the round they told us we deffinately had won that round. and i learned alot from that round and it just wouldn't be fair unless i shared it w/u:
1) we cant talk about international aptitude because people in other countries dont have aptitudes like people in the united states
2)the SAT and the ACT are the only aptitide tests we are aloud to talk about because thats all our oponents wanted us to
3)the resolution states RESOLVED: STUDENT APTITUDE SHOULD BE ASSESSED THROUGH STANDARDIZED TESTING. but what it really means is aptitude along with achievement because standardized testing measures both!
the day was awesome though, karel and i qualified for nationals. and so did andrew. we were so freaking happy. oh ya and zak and i arent talking. you should never compromise who you are for anyone and if that person truly cared about you, they wouldn't ask you to. and the fact that you cant stand up for yourself in this situation shows me damn well that youll never be able to stick up for yourself when it comes to him and me and you. and personally i think thats quite pathetic. youve shown youre all talk and no show and i hate that. and THAT is what makes me disappointed in you.
