PROMPT: Taking a break off the side of the road after a nice, brisk run, due to some town being 'accidentally' razed by a wayward Dragon Slave.

Yeah, that works.

The Dragon Slave had totally been meant to destroy someone in particular, not some town. In fact, that was quite probably what she was yelling at him as they finally managed to find a place to slow down and catch their breaths.

"I told you," Lina began, panting, "if you're going to ogle other women, at least don't do it when I'm right there!"

"It isn't my fault you've got no ch--" He didn't even seem surprised at the resulting fireball, groaning only slightly when he hit the ground. "Worth it."

Hi my name is Tessa and I need to canon review and watch Orphen properly some day

PARADE OF THE CRAP TESSA NEEDS TO CANON REVIEW. Pearl is so much easier to write personality-wise |D

It was only a matter of time before the inherent awkwardness of Elazul's preconditioning to protect Pearl wore off, once it really settled in that Black Pearl was, for all intents and purposes, not really the Pearl he remembered. The fact that she actually had more battle prowess than him probably did it in the end.

It hadn't stopped his devotion toward her in the least... though the force with which she returned that devotion caught him off guard the first few times.

Not that he was complaining - her enthusiasm ensured complete satisfaction, but it was still bizarre (but wonderful) waking up next to her and remembering.

Blue and Nusakan; Taking a ride on the Cygnus.
Rouge and Naga; A little contest.
Lyner and Misha; Suddenly shota Lyner!
Kanata and Ayla; Eight! Eight children! (ha ha ha)
Keilee and Luka; Go Team Cyphus!
Rue and Lina; The aftermath of a dinner date.

And I don't know if you're familiar with Disgaea 3 BUT if you are?
Mao and Fiona; Let's begin the experiments!

LET ME SEE...

1. The Cygnus was, by far, one of the smoothest riding ships he'd ever been on. That fact made said trip at once convenient and abysmally dull. Add to that the fact that Blue, his current traveling partner, wasn't as easily irritated as someone like Fuse, he'd had to take some time considering how to proceed.

In the end, he'd just decided to offer the magician some sparring time - the wonderful thing about magic was that most of it was contained in such a small area that you didn't have collateral damage the way you would with, say, bullets or even blades. And honestly... given that they were heading back toward Mosperiburg with the Sand Vessel, this was probably a much needed endurance run for the events about to transpire. Nusakan hadn't spoken to the Time Lord in some time, but even he had trouble perceiving most of the other mystic's attacks ( ... )

5. In all honesty, Luka had rather missed having someone to talk to about the finer points of truth-seeking. Keilee hadn't followed the same path as he had, by any means, but their doctrines were mostly the same, and it made for interesting banter when the others were distracted by other things.

It also made battles somehow smoother, as Luka spat out odd strings of phrases that only another follower of Cyphus could truly follow, Keilee striking at the weaknesses Luka inevitably pointed out better than even Vidar. Somehow, in all of that, Keilee had gotten an... idea"This is... kind of embarrassing, actually." Luka mentioned, sighing as they prepared for battle ( ... )

Aelthir had been quite exhausted of late... which wasn't that surprising when you considered Thymble's 'help' in training him. Of course, Thymble and Luka were the only ones who knew the reason Thymble was trying to train him...

That was to say that Thymble had, in one way or another, figured out that Luka was actually a girl. And because Luka was a girl, the tiny wild elf had informed her that she shouldn't worry, and that Thymble would train "the most suitable husband" for her. It had been funny at first, but now she was actually thinking about the ramifications and her feelings toward the other High Elf ( ... )

Luka and Clarent; Magic, how does it work? Clarent really doesn't know! Help!

"... You're a spellcaster, how could you possibly not know how magic works, Clarent?" Normally, Luka wasn't this terribly flustered by the oddities their group presented, but this one was baffling beyond reason.

"Well, I just kinda let the magic go! I never really thought about it before." was the half-elf's reply, as he shrugged his shoulders. Luka gave a heavy sigh, rubbing his temples.

"I... see. Well, this could be a long explanation, but I'll continue if you're still interested." he offered, nodding when Clarent did. "You see, magic is what happens when..."

It wasn't until someone called them for dinner that he realized he'd probably gone a little bit overboard in explaining himself.
