i think one of the only ways i'm going to become a better bass player is if i learn how to play every single Stevie Wonder song. cause Nate Watts is the motherfucking SHIT!
on the otherhand, maybe i'll try this contact out. i had passover at my parent's house with a woman whose brother-in-law or something is Tony Bennett's bassist. that could be a really good opportunity, if i pursued it......
last night i went out to a party with co-workers down on Patterson. i walked, i talked, i played a little beer pong, and then somebody brought out their keyboard and guitar. i listened to them play for a little while before going up to them and saying "you know what you need? a rhythm section." i asked them if they'd like to jam, which they did, so i went and got my bass. unfortunatly, not 5 minutes after i got back, the cops came and broke the party up. bummer, i almost got to play with some people. at this point i'm willing to play with anybody....
anyway, off to go see HHGG!
