Hurrah! - and Dr Who question
Don't know why it took me so long to find this out, but just in case you hadn't heard, the National Portrait Gallery has managed to raise the money to buy that John Donne portrait (see icon!) - which is Very Good News. I would have felt very guilty if not, since I was fully intending to donate some money and never got round to it.
Secondly, for those who are currently watching Dr Who - I have only seen the first one of this series due to lack of television here. However, I'm going away for the weekend with people who are up to date and in all likelihood will want to watch on Saturday as normal. Will it be safe, or will I be spoiling myself horrendously - should I hide at the bottom of the garden with a book until it's all over? I do intend to watch the series in order (probably on BBC3) at some point.
