sjvignettes, week 4, prompt 2.
He is so bored that he fears that he will actually fall asleep. It would have been bad enough in Korea, but he actually does not have one clue as to what is going on, the stream of Chinese rushing over his head faster than Heechul speaking Korean. There was a lot of laughter and a lot of shouting “M! C! NO, C!” and he doesn’t quite know what that was about but he went along with it anyway, and now - ah, now he thinks that they’re introducing themselves.
He watches with mild interest and slight panic (because he’s up next and it’s like being back at school, all this introducing himself) as Siwon walks forward and pretends to lift his shirt up and Han Geng pulls him back. Kyuhyun is just debating what the chances of Heechul actually catching this and therefore being able to punish Han Geng for not convincing Siwon to not do it (because Heechul still likes to believe that Siwon is a little puppy who doesn’t quite get it) when Zhou Mi’s hand comes to a rest on his back and he glances towards him.
“Hey,” he whispers, smiling widely. “I dare you.”
Kyuhyun gets it, because Zhou Mi’s hand is playing with the waistband of his coat, pulling at it slightly, and Kyuhyun knows what he means. He grins. “What’s in it for me?” he whispers, quickly, because he can see them getting ready to ask for him.
“Do it,” whispers Zhou Mi, “and you know what’s in it for you.”
And so, Kyuhyun, smiling slightly, steps forward when it’s his turn, steps between Siwon and Han Geng, hands his microphone to an oblivious Han Geng, who holds it up for him, says, “Hi everyone!” and simultaneously pulls Han Geng’s shirt down and Siwon’s shirt up.
There is a brief moment in which neither realise what is happening, and then both fall forward to try to cover up; Han Geng almost knocks Kyuhyun over with the force of it. He is fairly certain that his leader has just had a mini heart attack over it, and Siwon looks like it’s all fairly amusing for the camera while slightly scandalized inside. Kyuhyun just calmly steps forward, finishes his introduction and then goes back to Zhou Mi, who grins and puts his arm around his waist as Siwon and Han Geng continue to splutter and one host almost dies from laughing and the other shouts something that Kyuhyun can’t understand even if he wants to.
Zhou Mi’s biggest mistake, Kyuhyun feels, was not actually giving guidelines on what exactly was in it for him. After all, he can’t complain about the quick blowjob in an abandoned supply closet on their break when he didn’t say Kyuhyun couldn’t ask for that, can he?
Title: Life is Hard When You’re Donghae
Fandom: Super Junior (M)
Pairing: Kibum/Donghae, Kyuhyun/Zhou Mi
Word count: 628
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Donghae ignores it for as long as is humanly possible, and then for just that bit longer, which just goes to show, really, that he does have patience and an attention span.
A/N: For
magnoleo. Based off
this picture.
Donghae ignores it for as long as is humanly possible, and then for just that bit longer, which just goes to show, really, that he does have patience and an attention span. He tries to reason with himself, tells himself that it’s stupid to get annoyed, that airports are hardly private places and then he shouldn’t expect to be able to sleep anyway. He tries to act like Eeteuk and Hankyung put together, responsibly with just a little panic, and then he gives up and stands up and shouts like Heechul would.
“Shut up!” he shouts, and Kyuhyun pauses with his air in the air and a laugh on his face, and Zhou Mi jumps a little and stares at him. “I’m sorry,” says Donghae, a little sheepishly, “but I’m trying to sleep, and you’re being really loud.”
“Sorry,” says Zhou Mi, earnestly, and he looks it; it’s just Kyuhyun who’s smirking.
“I’m sorry,” says Kyuhyun. “But it’s not my fault that you’re not getting any.”
Donghae gapes at him. “Excuse me?” he says.
“I said,” says Kyuhyun, and even Zhou Mi looks astonished by it, “that it’s not my fault that you are getting any. That Kibum’s still in Korea and you’re not there yet.”
“That’s got nothing to do with it!” says Donghae. “I’m tired.”
“Well, go to sleep then,” says Kyuhyun. “We’re not stopping you.”
“You can be such a cruel dongsaeng,” says Donghae, throwing himself back down. He settles back down, determined to ignore the noise all the more, because he does not want to have to have another conversation like that with Kyuhyun, but this time Zhou Mi tries to convince Kyuhyun to be quiet. He latches onto his arm and murmurs something, and Kyuhyun murmurs back, amusement rife in his voice. Zhou Mi laughs, and says something else. It is soft, intimate; it is even more distracting than the boisterous happiness of before, and so Donghae stands up and walks off and telephones Kibum.
“Hey hyung,” says Kibum, and Donghae can hear the sounds of a computer game playing in the background - Kibum has clearly put him on speakerphone.
“I’m not even worth taking your hands away from the controls, am I?” asks Donghae sadly.
“Not really,” says Kibum. “What is it?”
“Kyuhyun and Zhou Mi are being annoying,” says Donghae, a little childish.
“Be more annoying back,” says Kibum.
“I’m too tired,” says Donghae. Kibum is silent, but the noises stop. Donghae doesn’t know if he has just finished a level or stopped playing. “I miss you,” he says after a brief pause.
“You’re going to see me in a few hours,” says Kibum, and his voice is static and louder and Donghae can hear him breathing; he has picked the telephone up.
“Stop being so practical,” says Donghae. “Or at least, come up with some practical way for me to either get some sleep now or to not have to sit next to Kyuhyun and Zhou Mi on the plane.”
“You’re probably just going to have to sit by yourself,” says Kibum. “Just saying. Because Heechul’s been talking about the surprise he’s got for Siwon and Hankyung and so I doubt they’ll be any fun to sit next to, not with Siwon bouncing off the ceiling. Sit with Henry. I’m sure he won’t mind if you sleep, considering you can’t talk to him in English anyway.”
“I think Ryeowook’s already snagged him,” says Donghae sadly. “Ah well. A few more hours and then I can sleep in your bed while you play on the computer with the mute on.”
“I’m glad you think that’s happening,” says Kibum, and hangs up. Donghae curls up along three seats and goes to sleep and almost misses the plane because Hankyung can’t find him.
