Kagome hadn’t been thinking about the floor last night when Sesshoumaru had slid his claws into it, bracing his arms against her body.
All she had been focused on was the way his skin tasted, how his muscles tightened and bunched against her, the rasp of teeth in that little spot between her neck and shoulder, and the starbursts behind her eyes when she came.
She hadn’t been thinking about it then, but it was all she could think of now, as she frantically tried to think of a reason to explain the deep gouges in the floor for the confused housekeeper.
