Lazily he opened his eyes.
Kagome had taken a seat at the edge of the stage, her feet dangling over the edge. “How was it?” she asked modestly.
So many adjectives came to mind: perfect, sublime, earth shattering, exceptional in every way. But none of these words fell from his lips. Perhaps it was the way her voice moved him; it set him free.
“Kagome, tell me who you made your promise to.”
