A/N: The 25th Installment of the Of Lords And Ladies saga
The servants waited through the tense silence Sesshomaru forced them to endure while he thought. Finally, he looked up at them.
“I want my father sent for at once.” His voice was softer then they had expected.
“Of course milord.” They answered automatically.
“Kisuke as well. I want them to meet me in my father's chambers.”
The servants nodded and disappeared as quickly as they had arrived, leaving Sesshomaru alone to once again think. He turned towards the closed doors of his bedchamber. He would need a healer's opinion on the matter he was about to discuss with his father and Kisuke. He walked across the room and tapped lightly on the heavy door. It opened seconds later and a healer stepped forward.
“Yes milord?”
“I will require the most knowledgeable of you to accompany me for a few moments if you deem that Lady Kagome's health is well enough that he can be spared.”
“Of course milord.” He said with a nod of his head.
He turned from Sesshomaru and crossed the room to the eldest healer, who stood next to Kagome's bedside applying a fresh cloth to her forehead. He whispered something to him, and the elder quickly made his way towards Sesshomaru and slipped through the doorway before the other healer closed the doors once again.
“Milord?”
“I will require your knowledge of Lady Kagome's current health.” The elder healer nodded slowly and followed Sesshomaru from the room. “Would you say that Lady Kagome is not healing as quickly as she should?”
The healer hurried his pace to keep up with Sesshomaru's longer stride.
“She is doing well considering what she has been through. Humans do not heal as quickly as demons do however. It is hard to say what would be normal and what would not.”
