Summary: Sesshomaru discovers a way to save Kagome from the death his poison will bring her.
A/n: Many thanks to the mods and the authors/authoress' for the enjoyment I have found on this site. Here is my final contribution to the site, and though it skips ahead a bit in the "Ambush' series, I hope that it will provide a decent addition.
The spring he’d found did nothing to curb the burn branding her from the inside out. In time, his poison would kill her.
She didn’t cry; instead she begged that he say her goodbyes to her pack, then did the unthinkable:
She laughed, a sick sound that rattled through her chest.
How will you ever mate, if you can’t even kiss your intended?”
And in Kagome’s words, Sesshomaru found the answer.
“Do you wish to live, Miko?”
She hesitated, then nodded.
“How?”
“If you wish to attend the grand-finale of Narkau’s demise, it will have to be as my mate.”
