The final battle had come and gone.
From what he could remember, there was neither a feeling of triumph nor a harmonious cheer of victory at the end.
Instead, everything was cold, silent, and dark.
Lifeless…
Is that why? He was dead? The details were scattered in his mind. His memories were like a series of blurred images, most of them mundane, except for one.
So he focused on it, like a starving man seeing food for the first time, and reached desperately toward the blinding light.
