“Come on Ayame! Just hold me up!”
“You’re not this far in your therapy.”
Ayame had been to most of Kagome’s therapy sessions, mostly because she was Kagome’s chuffer, but also because Kagome had wanted a friend with her.
“What’s it going to hurt?”
“Kagome, I’m not going to sugar coat anything for you, and I’m saying this as a friend: just because you’ve gotten a lot of feeling back in your legs doesn’t mean you’re going to be able to use them. I’m afraid that you're getting your hopes up too high only to be let down in the end.”
“Sesshomaru said the same thing. Well, not exactly, but he hinted to it. He’s been watching what he says around me, lately. He feels like he’s on probation with me.” Kagome giggled.
“We just don’t want to see you hurt.”
“I know, but it’s hard not to rush things, especially when the feeling in my legs is coming back so fast.” Kagome sighed and changed the subject. “I think Sesshomaru wants more from our relationship, like a…” Kagome paused and blushed before continuing, “...like a romantic one.”
“You mean, as in he wants sex? Of course he does. Every male does.” Ayame laughed.
“It’s not funny, Ayame.”
“Sorry.”
“He’s been a little suggestive in his gestures lately, like slipping his hand under my shirt when were kissing. Things like that. I immediately back off or instantly move his hand away. I’m afraid he’s getting frustrated.”
“Of course he’s getting frustrated. He hasn’t had any in a while.”
“Do you think I should go along with it?”
“Not if you’re not ready. Sesshomaru understands.”
“Are you sure?”
“He loves you. He’ll wait no matter how long it takes. The gestures are his way of seeing if you’re ready for more.”
