The two arrived at the mansion, one smiling with victory and the other watching for the other man he had hired. Surely the girl wasn’t fool enough to believe that he would part with any of his money now was she? If she was then he would have to put her back in line because he wouldn’t part with the money whether he was dead or alive.
Sesshomaru led Kagome inside only for her to be quickly ambushed by Naraku, the other person he had hired. The look of fear, loathing, hatred and confusion sent a jolt of electricity through his blood.
“Surely you didn’t believe the money was really all yours did you?” he asked. The betrayed look in her eyes was so worth the wasted time. He could’ve shot her before now but chose to let the betrayal be shoved right in her face.
