It’s All About Believin’
Inuyasha, Koga, and Inuyasha’s twin sons sat in the conference room waiting for Sesshomaru. Sesshomaru had called Inuyasha a moment ago and asked for him to assemble the group for a mandatory meeting.
“Great. Everybody’s here,” Sesshomaru said, walking into the room. “I’ll make this impromptu meeting quick,” He added, sitting down.
“I’ve given a lot of thought to my business and companies and have come to the conclusion that I’m a little bit overwhelmed. Because of this, I have decided that instead of simply handing over responsibilities of my American companies to Ichiro and Daichi, I would…” Sesshomaru hesitated a moment, “…give them the companies.”
Both Ichiro and Daichi looked at each other, stunned. “You’re serious?” they replied in unison.
“Have you ever known me to joke around?”
“No sir,” they answered.
“My lawyers are drawing up the necessary paper work as we speak. Are the two of you in acceptance of this decision?”
“Yes,” Daichi replied.
“Definitely,” Ichiro replied.
“Good. The next order of business is that I’ve decided to sell off some of my stagnant companies.”
“Are you feeling okay?” Inuyasha asked.
“Yes, I feel perfectly fine. I see no reason to keep companies that are not contributing to the business and might possibly hinder it. Now, the final order of business: Inuyasha and Koga, since I need you imbeciles around to help me, instead of giving you your own companies, I would like to make you equal partners in my remaining companies. If the two of you are in agreement, I will have my lawyers get started on drawing up the contracts immediately.”
“Um… yeah. I’m fine with that.” Inuyasha said in shock.
“Me too,” Koga added, equally shocked.
“Okay then, I’ll call another meeting to finalize the deals after all the necessary paperwork is ready. I now call this meeting to a close.”
As everybody filed out of the conference room, stunned, Inuyasha hung back a moment to talk to his brother. “Are you positive about these decisions?”
“Yes. I talked with Kagome this morning and did some soul searching before I came into work. I’m not making the same mistake twice. I can’t lose her, and I’ll do what I need to to keep her.” Sesshomaru paused than added, “I don’t deserve her.”
Inuyasha placed a hand on Sesshomaru’s forehead. “Are you sure you’re feeling okay.”
Sesshomaru swiped his hand away. “Don’t be stupid.”
