Kagome knew her job was boring, yet she couldn’t bring herself to quit Madame Coffey’s hat shop.
The reason… him.
Tall, pert and incredibly handsome. Porcelain skin, a proud jaw, and hair spun like starlight, contrasting sharply with the dark heap of velvet he was currently scrutinising atop his head.
Golden eyes slanted towards her in the mirror. “It suits me.” A statement not a question.
Kagome smiled. “Yes monsieur, you’re- it’s most fetching.” Kagome amended, turning pink.
“Hnn. The name speaks for itself.”
"Name?” That hat’s name, Souhaitables was displayed on the label.
“You can read it?”
A raised eyebrow. “You cannot?”
“Er, my French is a little rusty.”
Sesshomaru’s eyes sparkled with amusement. He swept behind Kagome, towering close, warm at her back.
“You should learn.”
“You could teach me.”
“French is not just about language, it is about seduire. Ètes-vous embrasse bien?”
Slender fingers threaded through Kagome’s hair. “What?”
“Yes or no.”
“Um, yes?”
“Très bon. Puis-je avoir un baiser?”
“Yes again?”
“Très magnifique.” Sesshomaru growled.
“What- umph!” Kagome was silenced, a pair of soft, quirked lips descending upon hers.

“Merci monsieur, was everything to your liking?”
Sesshomaru glanced at a dazed Kagome over his shoulder.
“Oui.”
