The thunderous growl cut the silence of the forest, causing all animals to hide in fear. However, the creature at who, it was directed, didn’t even flinch at the sound. Only her pretty face twisted in annoyed scowl.

“It’s all your fault. Don’t try to take your anger on me. Now don’t move.”

Another growl followed her words. This time Kagome swatted the giant dog with minimum dose of her miko powers.

“I said don’t move,” the woman said in a way that left no room for argument. The silver dog knew he was walking on thin ice, so decided to do as he was told, allowing the girl to do her work without interruption. It was best way for both of them.

Suddenly, he felt how something snapped and with pleased sniff, the dog changed back into his humanoid form.

“This Sesshoumaru is grateful,” the daiyoukai announced, massaging his abused jaw.

“You should,” murmured Kagome, throwing away half-rotten human arm. She flinched with disgust, quickly whipping her hand with disinfectant liquid.

“Hnn,” commented daiyoukai off-handily.

“Just make this clear. Next time if some foolish samurai’s arm gets stuck between your fangs, find someone else to take it out.”

“Hnn.”
