A Binding Agreement
The tips of his claws dug sharply at her wrist, drawing her closer as the stink of blood and soot grew overpowering, suffocating in her lungs as their chests collided.
"Ningen."
Cascades of heat trembled through the air between them as his eyes pierced the short space, sending her heart beat thrumming into a frantic, thundering rhythm. She could see every fracture of the scant light that seemed to emanate from those deaths, could read the challenge clearly; but strangely, she couldn’t find the will to care.
Her eyes dropped to the vivid crimson at his chest.
“I offer help.”
