Summary: Sesshomaru faces a menacing situation. Will he prevail?
A/N: I have returned from a long absence, therefore it will take some time to get back to serious writing. But it is so good to see/read you all again. =)
Sesshomaru had often survived dire situations, but this time, he could see no way out of it.
The ruthless army of the enemy was invading his territory, slaughtering his subordinates in the process. His measures of protection had failed him and all he could hear in his mind, were the silent cries of the victims, who had fallen pointlessly.
So he did the only thing that was left to do.
He swept the offending board from the table, sending the men to the floor.
“No fair!” Kagome wailed. “I was about to checkmate you in the next turn!”
“Stupid game.”
